Smoky skies – About Us

Smoke drifting from far off forest fires has been keeping me indoors. Rosalee, my one and only calico cat, goes outside in regular shifts, returning for attention, affection, food and naps.

The smoke is less today. I am making the first post to the new blog. Rosalee and I are coming out of mourning for the other calico cat who lived here until July when she left us for Kitty heaven.

With this blog I hope to carry on with my quiet little thoughts, which are inspired by the company of Rosalee, and by the memory of Muffin. More to say another day. Enough today that we have begun. I almost called the blog calicocat without the “s”. But the memory of Muffin reached out and said “hey!”, so calicocats.ca it is.

“Us” now is Rosalee and me. I am a retired sales assistant living frugally in a semi rural area of the interior of BC. I rarely make posts because I have nothing really to post about. It is fun to play around on the computer though.
